Triple Whale vs. Northbeam vs. AdBliss: An Honest Comparison

AdBliss Team·April 29, 2026

If you're shopping for an ad attribution tool, you've probably looked at Triple Whale and Northbeam. Both are well-funded, widely used, and frequently recommended. Both also charge a percentage of your ad spend — which means their costs scale directly with your budget.

We're AdBliss, so take this comparison with appropriate skepticism. We've tried to be accurate. Where we're genuinely weaker, we say so.

Triple Whale

Triple Whale started as a Shopify analytics tool and built attribution on top of it. It's well-designed, has strong brand recognition in the DTC/ecommerce space, and integrates deeply with Shopify.

Where it's strong:

  • •Very good Shopify-native experience
  • •Strong creative reporting (see which ad creative drives performance)
  • •The "Moby" AI analyst feature is genuinely useful for surfacing anomalies
  • •Active community and good documentation

Where it falls short:

  • •Pricing scales with ad spend — at $500k/month, you're paying $5,000–$10,000/month just for attribution
  • •Built primarily for physical goods DTC — SaaS and subscription businesses are second-class citizens
  • •No native Stripe integration for recurring revenue tracking
  • •Incrementality testing costs extra

Best for: DTC/ecommerce brands under $500k/month ad spend who live in Shopify.

Northbeam

Northbeam positions as a more technical, data-science-heavy attribution tool. It uses machine learning to build customer journey models and claims more accuracy on cross-channel attribution than simpler tools.

Where it's strong:

  • •More sophisticated attribution modeling than most competitors
  • •Good for agencies managing multiple accounts
  • •Path analysis features are genuinely detailed
  • •Handles longer, multi-session purchase journeys well

Where it falls short:

  • •Setup is complex — 2–5 day implementation, often requires engineering support
  • •Percentage pricing scales painfully at high spend levels
  • •UI has a steep learning curve — lots of features, not always obvious which to use
  • •Customer support can be slow at lower spend tiers

Best for: Technically sophisticated DTC brands with $200k+/month spend and an analyst to own the tool.

AdBliss

We'll try to be honest here.

Where we're strong:

  • •Flat-fee pricing — your analytics cost doesn't grow when your ad spend grows
  • •Native Stripe integration — built specifically for recurring revenue, MRR, and ARR tracking
  • •Works for SaaS and software companies as first-class users, not as an afterthought
  • •Fast setup (under 30 minutes for most accounts)
  • •Incrementality testing is included, not an add-on
  • •Simpler UI — fewer features than Northbeam, but faster time-to-insight

Where we fall short:

  • •Younger product than Triple Whale or Northbeam
  • •Creative reporting is more limited than Triple Whale
  • •Smaller community and fewer third-party integrations
  • •Less battle-tested at extreme scale ($1M+/month spend)

Best for: SaaS companies and subscription businesses who need accurate MRR/customer attribution. Ecommerce brands who are tired of paying a percentage tax on their spend.

The Pricing Math

This is where the comparison gets uncomfortable for percentage-based tools.

Monthly SpendTriple Whale (~2%)Northbeam (~1.5%)AdBliss
$50,000~$1,000~$750$299
$100,000~$2,000~$1,500$299
$250,000~$5,000~$3,750$299
$500,000~$10,000~$7,500$299
$1,000,000~$20,000~$15,000$299

Triple Whale and Northbeam also add minimum fees and tiered plans, so actual pricing varies. But the trajectory is clear: percentage-based tools charge you more for doing the same work.

The software doesn't process more data or build better models when you spend more. You're paying a tax on scale.

Which One Is Right for You?

Choose Triple Whale if: You're a Shopify-native DTC brand, creative analytics matter to you, and you want the most established brand with the deepest community.

Choose Northbeam if: You have a data/analytics team, you're running a sophisticated multi-channel operation at scale, and you want the most detailed attribution modeling available.

Choose AdBliss if: You're a SaaS company or subscription business, you want flat-fee pricing that doesn't scale with spend, or you want to get up and running in under an hour.

Every tool on this list is better than relying on platform-reported attribution. The goal is getting off of Meta's dashboard and Google's dashboard and onto a single source of truth. Any of these gets you there.
